We wanted to help more pet parents afford the care their pets needed, so we set out on a mission to increase the number of insured pets in the U.S. An expert team in collaboration with global animal health company, Zoetis, came together to create Pumpkin, which has now become one of the fastest-growing pet insurance and wellness brands in the U.S.

Alex Douzet, CEO

Alexandre Douzet is Pumpkin’s co-founder and CEO, pictured with his rescue dogs Belle and Simon. Under Alex’s leadership, Pumpkin’s best-in-class insurance plans and preventive care wellness product make it easier for pet parents to provide the routine care their pets need to stay healthy, and to afford the crucial accident & illness care pets may need if they become hurt or sick.  Alex has an MBA in general management from INSEAD, an MS in direct marketing from New York University, and a BS in economy & business administration from the University of Lyon III, France. He is also a competitive Triathlete, a 7X Ironman finisher, a 2015 Ironman World Championship Finisher in Kailua-Kona and a 2X finisher of the Ironman 70.3 World Championship.
